Changelog
What changed, in plain words.
v4.8 · five new colours
August 2026
Brume Pro gains five colour themes, Ember, Pine, Fathom, Heather and Plum, picked in Settings; the classic Brume look stays free. Casting now runs on a sixty-minute loop instead of a ten-minute one, so the brief pause between loops happens far less often.
v4.7 · casting, for everyone
August 2026
Casting is now free for everyone: send your mix to any Google Cast speaker or TV, and the speaker plays on its own while your phone leaves the room or goes to sleep. Pro still opens the full sound library. Saved mixes gained a seventh slot, and deleting one now asks you to confirm first.
v4.5 · the forty-fourth sound
July 2026
A new sound joins the Cozy shelf: Vinyl Crackle, the soft dust and gentle pops of a record left spinning at the end of the night. Renaming a saved mix now opens in its own dialog, and every sound that belongs to Brume Pro wears a small PRO tag. Brume opens with a brief Zone7 Studios ident, which one tap skips, and the app is up to date for Android 16.
v4.2 · turn it sideways
July 2026
Brume now rotates. Prop a tablet on a shelf or clip your phone to a car mount, and every screen follows along, from the sound shelves to the player to the nightstand clock. The layout tucks itself neatly around notches and navigation bars either way up.
v4 · the library, doubled
July 2026
Brume grows from twenty-one sounds to forty-four, and from five shelves to seven, with two new rooms: Home (box fan, air conditioner, washing machine, ticking clock, keyboard typing) and Travel (a night train, a sailing boat at anchor, a long drive after dark). Rain, Water, Nature and Cozy all deepen too, and Distant Thunder was re-recorded from scratch. Creek and White Noise join the free shelf, making seven free sounds, and two scenes arrive: Creekside (free) and Cabin Storm.
v3.4 · seamless on every device
July 2026
Every loop now hands over sample for sample, on your phone and on cast speakers and TVs alike. The sliver of silence that used to slip in as a loop wrapped around is gone, however long you listen.
v3.3 · one continuous sound
July 2026
Every looping sound now glides across its own loop point with a gentle blend, so nothing ticks, jumps or restarts. An hour of rain is simply an hour of rain, and casting picks up the smoother loops automatically.
v3.2 · the library, deeper and truer
July 2026
Nearly the whole sound library has been re-created with more lifelike takes: rain that patters on real leaves, fire that crackles and breathes, and wind, waves and thunder with genuine depth. A few originals stayed because they were already exactly right. The app is smaller to download, and casting picks up the new library automatically.
v3 · your mix, on the big speaker
July 2026
Brume Pro can now cast to any Google Cast speaker or TV. The speaker does the playing, so you can set a sleep timer, walk away with your phone, and the sound and the timer carry on without it. Your phone becomes the remote: layers, volumes and the timer all work exactly as before.
v2 · every sound, remade
July 2026
The whole sound library has been rebuilt, warmer and smoother, with rain, fire, water, wind and night sounds that hold up on headphones and phone speakers alike. Rustling leaves and howling wind join the collection, along with ready-made scenes like a thunderstorm and a night forest. Sounds are now sorted into swipeable categories, with a Scenes tab up front for curated blends.
v1.2 · your mixes are safe
July 2026
Saving into a mix slot that already holds a mix now asks first, with a quick confirm right in the row, so a stray tap cannot wipe a blend you loved. Empty slots still save instantly, and rename and delete work as before.
v1.1 · the one-flick update
July 2026
The player bar grew up: flick it upward for master volume, one-tap preset blends (Rainy Night and Fireside, both free) and clearly labelled controls. Clear a whole soundscape in one tap, with a five-second undo, and locked sounds now play a ten-second preview layered into your mix. The sleep timer gained an eight-hour option, and Brume wears its own face with the slider-B app icon and a proper splash screen.
v1.0 · the first release
July 2026
A full library of soundscapes, every one synthesized in-house, with layered mixing and per-sound volume, six saved mix slots, a sleep timer that fades out over its final 30 seconds, nightstand mode and all-night screen-off playback. No ads, no accounts, no subscriptions.
